Davis Realtors®’s website, www.DavisRealtors.Net, earned the certification after receiving high marks in a number of critical areas relating to website performance, including usability, design and content, interactivity, customer service and mobile responsiveness. The evaluation was conducted by Virtual Results, LLC, a real estate internet and social marketing firm selected by LeadingRE to review the websites of participating members.
Available only to firms affiliated with LeadingRE, the WQC is awarded based on specific measurements that are updated each year based on the latest in internet marketing strategies and evolving consuming preferences. To maintain the certification, companies must be re-certified every two years.
“We created the WQC to raise the bar in online marketing and recognize the companies that are demonstrating best practices with their websites,” said Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® President/CEO Pam O’Connor. “The 136 companies that earned the WQC this year have not only mastered the technical components, but they have also shown superiority in providing highly local content, up-to-the-minute information on homes, and responsive customer service.”
“At Davis Realtors®, we have always strived to provide the highest level of service to the public,” said Stuart Davis, President of Davis Realtors®. “

This year will be the 37th annual Summit Tot Trot, a fun-filled field event where kids between the ages of two and ten run, race and have a ball. Created by the Summit Junior Fortnightly Club, the Tot Trot has grown from a memorable annual event into a meaningful Summit tradition that celebrates the spirit of community caring and fun.
Children who came out for the event in the early days are parents who enter their own children in this wonderful Memorial Field event.
It Takes a Village
Two years after opening its doors in 1976, Lois Schneider Realtor opened its heart as the lead sponsor of the Tot Trot. Well-known for its philosophy of generous community giving, the company has been a major benefactor of this event for over 35 years.
The partnership forged between the Junior Fortnightly Club’s Tot Trot and Lois Schneider Realtor has resulted in significant grants over the years to an amazing variety of non-profit organizations in our area, including this year’s recipient, The Valerie Fund
The Valerie Fund
Coincidentally, The Valerie Fund, established in 1976, the same year as Lois Schneider Realtor, was born in the New Jersey basement of the Goldstein family whose daughter, Valerie, succumbed to cancer. A group of benevolent friends supported the wish that no family should have to endure Valerie’s arduous treatment alone. This year, the proceeds raised from the Tot Trot event will benefit The Valerie Center, the esteemed children’s center dedicated to the health care of children with cancer and blood disorders. Also a past recipient has been the well-established Valerie Fund’s Camp Happy Times, with a proud 30-year history of providing a one-week overnight camp experience for children 5 through 21 who have or have had cancer.
With an aptly named theme of ‘KIDS RUNNING FOR KIDS,” this year’s Tot Trot event is anticipating a record turnout.
The date for the Tot Trot is Sunday, May 31st at Memorial Field, 11 am to 2pm, rain or shine.

One of the most beautiful moments in our community each year is driving through Summit, New Jersey on the evening of December 24th to see homes aglow with luminaries. This glorious sight, and the spirit of community that it represents, makes Summit a special place in which to live. The funds raised by selling the luminaries brighten the lives of many in need throughout the year.
The Summit Luminary Event is made possible through the dedication of Barbara Romano, the Founder and President of the Summit Luminary Fund, and Lois Schneider Realtor in Summit, who has been the underwriter of the event each year since its inception. Special thanks are also extended to the area leaders who coordinate the orders and deliveries, and the many volunteers who give their time to fill thousands of bags with sand and candles.
Funds raised from the Summit Luminary Fund will be given back to charitable organizations within our community.

“We are thrilled that, out of 15 real estate firms nominated, we were chosen for the second consecutive time,” said Broker/Owner Brigitte Van Note.
Rhodes Van Note is a locally owned, independent firm with national and international affiliations through Leading Real Estate Companies of the World. The company was founded in 1985 by Brigitte Van Note and Carol Rhodes, both long-time Montclair residents. It has grown over the past 29 years to become one of the best-known and well-regarded realty firms in the suburban Essex area. RVN’s 45 agents are not only professional and knowledgeable about current market conditions and financing, but also enthusiastic and caring with deep roots in the towns they serve.
Brigitte added, “This incredible acknowledgement, which comes directly from the people we serve in suburban Essex County, is amazing and even sweeter the second time around. Our customers often comment that our listing, selling, staging and overall hand-holding make us outstanding. Again, thank you everyone!”]]>
Mixing business and vacation Morrison volunteered to share our first day in New Orleans on their very first Realtor Build, partnering with Habitat for Humanity.
This year’s build took place in the New Orleans East neighborhood, a quiet, suburban-like neighborhood that has been slow to recover. The partner, New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity, owns over 30 lots in this neighborhood and is planning significant revitalization this year. Even nine years after Hurricane Katrina, you can still catch a glimpse of abandoned homes marked with the once-ubiquitous “X Code” used by Urban Search and Rescue after the storm.
Over one hundred Realtors from across the country participated in the event that included a total of four build sites. The participants met at the convention Center at 6:30 am for a box breakfast and registration. The participants then loaded four buses and headed for the build site. The build began with safety meeting, on site, at 7:30 am. The site included a raised foundation and sub floor. In one afternoon the group assembled all the interior and exterior walls, hung the sheathing and cut out all the doors and windows. At the end of the day all the walls of the three bedroom home were complete. The young women who will be receiving the home was also on site.
Our experience with Habitat was awesome!, Morrison said. The Morrison’s look forward to participating in another build in the future.]]>
